When it comes to crop establishment, flexibility is the key. We offer a tine drilling service, along with our direct or minimal disturbance service - subject to demand we are also considering adding a powerharrow combination drilling service for Autumn 2014.
A good crop requires good establishment - our JD 750a offers excellent seed placement and the opportunity to sow a wide range of crops directly into stubble, or into a cultivated seedbed with minimal disturbance - ideal for drilling into stale seed beds to limit the amount of unwanted weed seeds to the surface.
We can also establish crops using a 4.8m Kuhn Megant tine drill, which will operate in a range of conditions and has proven itself in establishing a crop late in the autumn into less than ideal conditions. With it’s electronic controlled metering system we can increase or decrease seed-rates from the cab and are currently looking at linking this with our Greenstar display to carryout variable rate seeding.
Subject to demand we would also like to add a powerharrow combination (with disc coulters) drilling service to our list of offerings, further increasing our flexibility, allowing us to drill straight into ploughing in the right conditions or reducing the number of cultivations passes required before drilling.
